I was just innocently looking at the range of Vans shoes (AARGH, my weakness!!) one day with
xindee

And being a spendthrift cheapo (oxymoron. bleah) I happily accepted one of the salesman help with his 20% staff discount. The only thing is, i've to meet him on Sunday, i.e. 28 June, 'cause he isn't suppose to do that.

Almost immediately, with a bad feeling of something about to happen.. i quickly smsed my saviour juz_ana to be with me when he pass me the shoes.

Thank God she did.

It was a near parody of culture clash and awkward moments. Hoho. And the shameless way he wanted to join us for lunch. Time could not pass any faster.

All in all. horrible. HORRIBLE.

Now i regret not getting gazette's DIM. all the hype about it is killing me. ARGH. F--

Well, what happened one morning was that this buffed up chinese man (in a white wifebeater) tried to strike a conversation with me, when i was innocently walking pass him.

It was the grin he gave me that scared me off, all i did was 'huh...hi?' and ran off while he was asking something halfway.

Later, a salesman helped me to get staff discount by helping me to buy a pair of shoes. But it was ridiculously awkward, as he seemed to be mumbling to me - hardly staring at me in the eye- while i was stunned at the helpfulness he gave me.

So. It's a freaking weird off day i had. haha.

I must shop more often :D

During this period of mess - when will it all be over? - i splurged on an oven.  A real huge ass oven. hoho. Ok, it's relatively cheaper than the rest. Still, it did baked it's first maiden batch of cookies.

And now, to save for December's Hong Kong trip! :D

Going to meet an old primary schoolmate of mine. We used to be 'best friends' But as usual... i make weird friends. She had a crush on me nearly the end of graduation -.- wtf. been avoiding her till now.

hopefully she's straight. pray for my safety.

Right after returning from Taiwan, it was a dump of mess and stress for the rest of the week. I hope all will be well by now.

Hmm, i had wanted to do a recap of the trip. But realised it's too tedious and the previous entry will do well.

Heh, but my uploaded pictures on facebook will do the telling. Julia sure has loads of scandalous pics of me. Box her.

And i wished i was still there, with the group members. It a relief to get away from reality and to be stuck in a carefree and fantasical environment.  Oh, and we had someone to provide us with self entertainment too ;) 

As said earlier, it really was a couple and aunties tour, and only 3 of us are the youngest there. I hardly talked to the third one, i let juz_ana be  sociable to her.

As we are pretty pissed with someone recently for avoiding our occasional meet-ups (guess that shows how important his friends are to him) and his birthday is arriving soon.. We came up with an idea of our birthday gift to our dear friend.

Just now,she asked if i had a boyfriend. So i replied the in chinese 'No lah, don't need'. 

She continued asking in her cantonese/chinese mix 'What about your malay guy?' (points for those who can figure out who haha)

'Friend friend only' <--imagine me saying it in halting dialect

She suddenly went on about it being a good thing to wait and finding a good man, unlike my aunt's husband. and started grousing about her ex-son-in-law. 

Before her, my maternal grandma also asked whether if i had one.  And so did xindee , but that's 'cause we did something to her *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Thing is... Who else would love the things i love? Unless i do something drastic like post on craiglist to find a boyfriend D: 

Dun really fancy them, as they tend to kill my mouth with the strong odd taste from their kimchi (eew)

Met Soc to study together at our fave icecream stall near her place, and soon, it was dinner time.

This lovely place provided cheap and tasty food for only $13.50 (shared among two of us!)

First, it started out with 6 dishes...

Did not finish all in the end (EEW, KIMCHI and KIMCHI cake?!?)

Sadieon the other (third) hand, is still as fucking fantastic as ever. juz_ana is holding my new album hostage and i guess she'll not listen to it till she's held at knifepoint by me.

I'm still holding your books hostage too! hahah. They are still left UNREAD.

With the help of xindee 's bff and bf (hint), we gathered some of her friends to give her a surprise birthday gathering, just 3 days shy of the exact date. I was appointed as her 'kidnapper'. :D

Haha. It was so fun, to see her running into her room right after she saw everyone in her house singing to her.

Plus plus. It was so SWEEET that her jojo helped to organise it... and the loads of suggestive remarks about the two of them. (all encouraged by yours truly) :D

Boss gave me a container wrapped with a big plastic bag early one morning and told me to try it.  Apparently, they tried cooking some dessert  with 'hashima' over the weekend. 
It was like cheng teng with that hashima thing. It was not bad... The texture was spongey, weird, long, intestinal like shape, clear, chewy, etc.

And it was only after i ate the whole thing, i bothered to google about it.

the results were... O_O what the hell

But after the initial shock. i wouldn't mind trying it again. heh. Planning to meet juz_ana  at JP to make her try at one of the dessert shop ;)

It's only another 2-3 weeks and i'll have two papers BACK TO BACK.  Wtf.. haha. No problemo. I CAN DO IT! (chants hundreds of times) and xindee  better whip me to study when i'm with her. Not the other way around =P

Found an old pic (1-2 years ago?) of us at grandma's house. We looked so young and damn.. cheerful. Apologise for the lousy color/quality. Handphone seems to be dying anytime soon.

Especially when you have crazy classmates who either can talk about rubbishy stuff (on top of serious work) or irritate you to no end.

Just earlier tonight, the four of us were laughing over something a wee bit too loud. And the Guy whom we're talking about kept looking at us.  He tried to look discreetly at us from the other corner of the lecture hall, which didn't work. Cause it was so bloody obvious everytime. -.- 

Actually it was just them teasing me over my 'height' over his and my taste in smart looking men. heh. (I think we hurt his feelings. i'll have avoid him or do some thing about it.sigh.)

And suddenly 2 hours into the class and we were near comatose, one of my classmate just smsed me 'Good Luck'.

I am pretty used to vague smses from him like this. So i replied 'Scary'

He snorted, and replied 'Good luck to you'

'Very very scary' and he laughed after reading it.

I tried not to rise to his bait. As usual, i can't help it but ask him again. Although I threatened him, and did not get any answers in return. What stunned me was that he suddenly broke into a 'song' to avoid replying. haha. Crazy!

It's been more than once when, from the corner of my eye, i find him staring at me.  I wouldn't mind if i'm contributing something in the conversation or am part of it, which isn't the case during these times.  Unable to resist the urge, i glance at him, and he IS staring at me.  I'll give my bland or glare look before looking away.

Maybe it's just common for him. But it's a bit too often now as of late. Freaky... Ignorance is bliss in this case, ja?

Or as the title says, maybe i'm just over-reacting.

Or, or, I should tone down a little and stop wearing my 'California' clothes, as this angmoh aptly put it.  And wear my boring shirt and jeans combo forever.  Eew no. I prefer my mish mash of punk style thank you very much. :P
